You know, I’m starting to wonder if there is a force working against me here. I get back from my wonderful vacation and my computer has dumped on me…and speaking of Dump…the septic tank is full. Did I mention all this before? My brain hasn’t arrived from overseas yet, I think. Oh well, I’m getting it all in line again. Parts are ordered for the ‘puter (along with some upgrades. I figure that if I’m going to be gutting it, I might as well make it better), the Septic tank has been dug up, pumped out and refilled, and the Kitty has had her shots. I’m back to work on Rock For Blood. Check it out if you haven’t yet, hope to see you all there. www.myspace.com/rockforblood of course, I don’t want to seem like I complain all the time. Maybe you think that I bitch too much, but hey, what are Blogs for anyway? I guess I could come up with some positives…ummm…we have an acoustic show coming up…no, I already said that…uh…I had a good lunch and a delicious apple for breakfast. Oh! And I got some new strings on my guitar and they sound great. Speaking of guitars, I found one the other day at GC that I really like. Check it out and let me know what you think?

The first day back…and everything’s broken.
Tuesday, September 30th, 2008Aaaaannnddd….back again.
Saturday, September 27th, 2008Well, I’ve returned home. FINALLY..after what seems like a million year flight. I can’t think of anything that would take me any longer. The trip home started out on Thurs. night at midnight and didn’t end until I got back here (home) at midnight last night. Don’t forget the six hour difference there kiddies…that’s right. A long bit of travellin’ for ol’ Mr. Clint. He was a delirious and tired boy last night. I’m sure that a conversation with me would have been hilarious. The last days were great, nonetheless, filled with what else that eating and drinking. I think I must have gained like a thousand pounds or so (actually, only 4, but hey..a thousand sounds more exciting). It was a great trip and I’m looking forward to the next one. Who knows where that will be? Hmmm? No, you don’t, so don’t even try and figure it out.
I’ve come home to a crashed computer in the main house, so I’m out here in the Studio. Which is a good thing, since I have to rehearse for the show on Saturday in Tampa. It’s an acoustic one, and I have to admit, I haven’t played those songs in a while. It’ll be good for me to get back in the swing. The nice thing was, though, there was a guitar there for me to play and I did practice a little and even started working on some new material. Whether anything will come from it, who knows. So, I’m off to play. Starting with CP: Scarred and moving down the list. When I get my main machine running, I will get the pictures uploaded. I think you’ll find them entertaining if nothing else.

Wed. or “after a stay away from a stay”
Wednesday, September 24th, 2008What? Yeah, well anyway…I’m back now from the Summer house. Very good time. Spent the evening walking next to the lake, eating some delicious appetizers before the fantastic meal of grilled Tuna and fresh veggies. Also, started the meal with dessert (you know how you usually don’t have time or room for dessert? the way around that is to have it first) of Cheesecake with fresh Kiwi slices. Then it was coctails and snacks, conversation and games out in the yard. Finished up the evening with Champagne in the hot tub until 5am. Slept in today (of course) and then went for a walk in the forest. More mushroom hunting (yummy!), followed by a beer and a book on the lawn and in the sun. After one more trip to the lake, it was homeward bound. I’m not sure what we’re doing tonight. I will, of course, keep you up to date.

Monday…I think…
Monday, September 22nd, 2008I’m losing track of the days. I think that’s a good thing. It’s a sign that this vacation..uhh…I mean, this business trip is working. I slept in today, had a glorious breakfast in the sun, consisting of fresh Melonfil with cloudberries (like a yogurt), fresh bread and cheese, a räkor spread and coffee. Mmmm…indeed! Then it was to the south of the island where we walked on the rocks and watched the water roll in. A very relaxing day. Tonight, we have had our appetizers of Sil (pickled herring), fresh potatoes, a cold sauce using chives and sour cream and beers and vodka and wine. I’m not sure what the main course is, but I really believe it’s going to be great. We’re headed to Fredriks’ summer house tommorrow for a few days, so I won’t be able to post anything. I’ll update you when I get back. Talk to you then!

the aftermath
Sunday, September 21st, 2008*yawn* tired! Last night was a blast. Tons eating, drinking and fun. We ate like monsters, starting with champagne and appetizers, followed by a dinner of marinated chicken, beef filet and salmon, with a fresh potato and spinach salad. Then it’s coffee, desert (raspberry cheesecake) and cognac. A Very good one, so I’m told, which I believe, having had it now. Then it’s to the bar and about with drinks, music and darts. I won the first game, came in second and then the championships also got second place. That earned me the right to pick the shots. I chose to hand out B-52s (Starbucks liquor & Creamy-Beige), lots of Vodka and Cran, some guitar and conversation, hugs and then darkness. We crashed somewhere around 5 this morning. Amazing enough, no hangover today. Must have been the ton of food and excitement before the gig. I sold 2 more CD’s. See, I am working! Today we lazied around in the sun, sipping tea and cokes. Went for a walk to the lake and looked at a house that was open and for sale. Not really all that nice, but it was still fun to wander around in someone’s new house. Tonight is official hang-over food night: Pizza (who knows what I’ll have on mine) and a movie. But first, maybe a nap…

The day of Sat
Saturday, September 20th, 2008Last night was great. We ended up eating the mushroom and various other foods on a new, trendy eating device. It’s like a healthy fondue. Small pans that are heated on an electric grill and then covered with a slice of cheese and put into the center heating element and warmed over. VERY good, fun, social and delicious. We ended the night with a trip to the upstairs bar (did I not mention that the house I’m staying in has a full liquor bar upstairs? Well, if I didn’t, I’m mentioning it now…it does) tasting of Mitaxa, which is a Greek liquor (I learned to taste the difference in a 3yr, a 5yr, and a 12yr…unlike everything else, the 3yr is the best), also tried a A’rmognac (which is in the Cognac family…just not made in that region of France) and also Medeira Wine…which is like a Port wine. I’m getting a great education over here! Oh..and just as proof that I really am working over here, I sold another CD. With the weak dollar, I should have no problem selling all the ones that I brought. We’re off to town today and then tonight, of course, is the big party. I’ll let you know how it goes. Hejdå!

Friday, before the party
Friday, September 19th, 2008Yes, I said party. We’ve got a big one planned for tommorrow. Today we went out into the dark, cold woods and hunted mushrooms. Not the crazy kind that grow in horse shit ( I know that’s what you’re thinking) but these delicious yellow ones. We do not have them in the US. They are great for cooking and make a very yummy sauce. Exciting? You bet. Last night we went out on the town a bit and had an awsome meal at SCORE!, a resteraunt here in town. Delicious rack of lamb, great wine, a fantastic beer and…a less than great cheesecake. Then it was more drinks and bowling. You can imagine how that went. Glow bowling on the sauce, anyone? I got a 102. Way to go me. More drinks at home and we’ve got a very nice lineup for this weekend. Already sold one CD, so I am working. I promise! I’m still working on getting some pictures up here. It may have to wait until the end of the trip. That’s all for now…it’s beer time!!

On Travels!!
Thursday, September 18th, 2008Off I go. I’m out and about and headed on a trip to Europe. Gonna see some family and do a little band promotion while I’m there. I’ll keep the board updated with all of my antics and adventure when I can. Maybe some pictures, yeah? I wonder how that trip to Amsterdam is going to turn out?
See ya,

Probability is a son of a bitch…
Monday, September 8th, 2008but possibility is your friend. You ever notice that? It’s like you feel at times that anything is possible, you get all motivated and ready to tear ass…then, you get confronted with probability. You realize that the odds are actually against you. Some people are motivated by this, they want to beat the odds and overcome just so they can brag about it (or succeed, or whatever), and others are beat down and become depressed. It’s interesting to observe in people. Agree?
